Abstract
- A fission detector developed for the first energy amplifier test made at CERN-PS during the period September–October 1994 [1,2] will be described. The device is a small dimension high pressure argon gas ionization chamber with high background rejection and very high efficiency on 2π for fission fragments. The number of fissions produced in a fissile target allows the neutron flux measurement.
