Mimusops hexandra—III. Constituents of root, leaves and mesocarp

The cinnamic acid ester of α- and β-amyrins along with taraxerol, α-spinasterol, quercitol and β- d -glucoside of β-sitosterol have been isolated from the roots. The leaves yielded cinnamic acid, hentriacontane, a triterpene ketone, a terpenic hydrocarbon besides taraxerol and quercitol. The triterpene acid of the mesocarp has since been identified as ursolic acid.
