Abstract

A series of independent calculations by researchers from Australia, Russia, and the United States shows that a global polyfurcation, unprecedented in terms of significance, may take place sometime around the mid-21st century. This conclusion was reached by extrapolating to the future the logarithmic law of acceleration, which embraces phase transitions in the history of the biosphere and anthroposphere over 4 billion years. This article considers palliatives of planetary civilization beyond the big evolutionary singularity in the context of mega-history and synergetics. In the opinion of the author, this approach provides universal grounds for a mathematical conclusion and, in addition, helps attract the newest data of psychology and cultural anthropology.
