Abstract

A group of 46 patients treated by a pediatrician and family therapist in Argentina was followed up 4–8.6 years after first presentation. Dropout and untraceability limited evaluation to 30 cases. According to the Morgan-Russell Schedule, the Average Outcome Score was 10.9 (±1.2) and the General Outcome Category was “good” for 60%, “intermediate” for 30%, and “poor” for 10%. No deaths occurred. The results ratify the efficacy of a multidisciplinary approach for anorexia nervosa patients with early age of onset and short duration of illness.
