Abstract

Based on the hypothesis that progression of myopia may result from tension of the extraocular muscles during prolonged convergence in near work, all such cases were treated by dissociating the eyes for near vision through monocular cycloplegia. Detailed report of one case thus treated over a period of eight year?Tis given. The treatment was successful in checking progression in all cases during the time of its use.
