Abstract

New types of two- and multi-component polymeric composites based on polyethylene or polystyrene were studied. Conductive parts were formed from metal powders (Pd, Ag, Ag-compounds). Additional dielectric components (glass particles, BaTiO3 or piezosonic powder U5H-32) were used to modify mechanisms of electric charge transport. Investigation of the mixtures included blending curve measurements and evaluations, measurements of temperature dependence of DC resistivity and the complex impedance |Z| at various frequencies and the study of the composite structure by means of SEM. Some relations between the electrical characteristics and the structure are mentioned.
