Mechanical Improvements and Investigations on the LNE new Thompson-Lampard Calculable Capacitor

To improve the traceability of the unit of capacitance in the SI with a relative standard uncertainty of about one part in 108, a new Thompson-Lampard calculable capacitor is currently developed at LNE. This paper presents the progress on the alignment of the electrodes and the positioning of the movable guard in the cavity.
