Abstract

A multi-level comprehensive evaluation model of rollover prevention performance for commercial vehicle is proposed for the first time in this paper. By analyzing the performance indexes and test conditions of four active prevention and control technologies, including Driver Status Monitor (DSM), Curve Speed Warning System (CSWS), Electric Stability Control (ESC) and Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), the weights of their technologies and test conditions are assigned, and the test conditions are scored. Combined with the weights and test scores, the total score of rollover prevention performance is obtained according to the evaluation model formula. Then, the rollover prevention performance is ranked. Finally, the validity of the model is verified by the test data of three test vehicles, which can evaluate the overall rollover performance of commercial vehicle comprehensively and scientifically.
