Abstract
- In this paper, a dynamometer for measurement of the force of each finger is developed, newly. Four pressure sensors are attached to the grip part of the dynamometer that is a smedley type. And, the developed dynamometer is able to measure the normal grip strength, when the grip strength of each finger is measured. Using the dynamometer, the grip strength of each finger of some subjects that are healthy and young are measured. It is clear that maximum grip strength is obtained by middle finger, and that the finger that obtains second maximum grip strength is different. Moreover, the grip strength of each finger of patients with with the carpal tunnel syndrome are measured. It is clear that the patterns of the patients are similar with the patterns of the implicit knowledge of the medical doctor.
