Abstract

The eating and drinking culture has recently been developed with the improvement of living standards. The importance of refrigerated vehicles is increasing due to the demand of courier services for frozen foods both on-line and off-line. Since existing temperature recorders receive temperature data using wires, it is necessary to correct the resistance error according to the cable length. In addition, there is a problem that accuracy of temperature recording is lowered in a low temperature range as a low-priced NTC temperature sensor is used. In this paper, we propose the method for correcting the error due to cable resistance using digital processing and CAN communication to overcome these problems. The problem of NTC temperature sensor is also solved by using PT-1000 which is platinum sensor. The experiments show that the proposed temperature measurement and control system is useful for refrigerated vehicle.
