Some properties of the sequence of prime numbers

Abstract

Let pn be the n-th prime number and xn = p n+1 n+1 /pnn. We show that the sequence (xn)n?N is not monotonic for any integer N > 1 and that the series +??1n=1/xn is divergent. Related series are studied as well.
