Abstract
- A novel repetitive continuous welding extrusion process was proposed to optimize the microstructure and mechanical properties of AZ31 magnesium alloy. Both strength and elongation were improved simultaneously after two passes extrusion processing owing to the effective grain refinement and basal texture modification by introducing additive severe shear deformation.
