Abstract
- The scattering process of neutrons by a crystal including the multiple scattering is simulated by a computer, assuming that the scattering has a rotational symmetry around the normal of a plate-like polycrystalline specimen. The calculated intensities agree well with experimental results, even for iron with a large multiple Bragg scattering. This method is useful in subtracting contributions from multiple scattering from the experimentally observed intensities of diffuse scattering.
