Abstract: The following problems have been studied: the precolation threshold of jointed rock masses, the Representative Elementary Volume, the permeability of rock masses with impersistent rock joints and the permeability variation with depth. The proposed simple methods are verified against the results of numerical computation and the Stripa Project, Sweden.
