There has been an increase in the interest in blockchain technologies. While the most popular application of this technology is in the cryptocurrency sector in the developed world, recent studies have shown that they hold promise toward deployment in many sectors such as digital contracts and healthcare in the developing world. This article discusses the various use cases of the blockchain technology, particularly from the point of view of developing countries in general and for India in particular.
