Abstract
- The overall aim of the Internet of Things (IoT) is to interconnect the physical with the digital world. Generally, most of the IoT platforms are designed for special fields, lacking the ability to expand the function at runtime. In this paper, we tackle the issues by constructing an IoT-oriented universal data platform architecture to implement heterogeneous data source access and a programmable sensors workflow. The proposed platform supports microservice based functional expansion and UI mashup. We show a spatiotemporal computing service driven by the platform to illustrate the functional scalability of the platform. Moreover, we evaluate the platform concurrent performance and discuss the design scheme.
