Abstract

Additional file 1: Tumor characteristics of study samples. Numbers of samples from estrogen-negative and -positive tumors, patients with or without a family history of breast cancer, patients with different rs1800566 genotypes, as well as tumors of different histologic and molecular subtypes in groups of CHEK2 (checkpoint kinase 2)-mutation carrier and other tumors for both gene-expression (GEX) and array-comparative genomic hybridization (aCGH) datasets. Molecular subtypes are defined on the basis of Immunohistochemistry results: Luminal A: ER+/PR+, HER2-; Luminal B: ER+/PR+, HER2+; HER2 positive: ER-/PR-, HER2+; Basal: ER-/PR-, HER2-, EGFR+; Other triple negative: ER-/PR-, HER2-, EGFR-.
