Incidentally measuring approach and avoidance tendencies toward stimuli

Because approach and avoidance are fundamental for human behavior, it should be triggered spontaneously by the stimuli. However, current paradigms used to measure approach often force participants to intentionally process the stimuli by using a block design. We offer a paradigm based on the VAAST (Rougier et al., 2018) where participants are not asked to process the stimuli.
