Abstract

The Reversed-Field Pinch (RFP) is presented as a driven nonlinear dynamical system that evolves on time scales long compared with the fastest normal modes of the system. Numerical methods for the simulation of these processes, and examples of their application to experimentally observable phenomena, are presented.
