Abstract
- Upon examination the head showed a firm, movable mass on the right jaw, and the skin over the enlargement was largely denuded of hair (P1. 8, A). An attempt to remove the skin over the affected area disclosed a large impacted food mass in the right .buccal cavity, over which the skin and musculature of the cheek were stretched to parchment thinness. The mass (P1. 8, B) measured 10X 15 X 7? cm. and weighed 21 ounces. The first two right upper molars were loose and displaced mesally, but the lower molars appeared unaffected. The gum was receded on both the upper and lower right lateral tooth lines, the upper gum farther than the lower.
