Abstract
- A short comparative analysis of metal-cutting tools produced by various manufacturers is given from positions of the inadmissibility of formation of continuous chips during plate machining. A new design of cutter plate is offered; in this design, the cutting edge is partially unloaded due to force and temperature effects of projections on the inside of the chip-forming flute.
