Abstract
- As UHV transmission projects are put into operation, it happens frequently that a number of UHV AC and DC lines share a narrow corridor. Under extreme conditions, all transmission lines in a common corridor are at risk of complete outrage. Once a common outrage occurs in an aisle, it will pose a huge impact on the power grid and a blackout may occur. This paper proposes an approach to the risk assessment of transmission aisle as lifeline engineering that supports dynamic risk assessment and provides technical support for the planning, construction, operation and maintenance of transmission aisle as lifeline engineering.
