Ninth International Conference on Low Temperature Physics, Columbus, August-September 1964

A brief survey is given of papers read at the Ninth International Conference on Low Temperature Physics (LT9). The main topics dealt with are superfluidity, quantization and vortices in superconductors and liquid helium, quantum liquids, Fermi surfaces, low temperature transitions, and dilute alloys with transition metals. Some remarks are made about the value of the `LT' conferences.
