Mössbauer effect investigations of Co83Fe17/Au/Co/Au multilayers

Abstract
- [Co83Fe17/Au/Co/Au]N sputter deposited multilayers displaying a giant magnetoresistance have been investigated. Complementary magnetic measurements were conducted in order to characterize a spin reorientation transition in Co83Fe17 layers sandwiched between Au spacers. The transition from a perpendicular magnetic anisotropy to easy-plane one takes place at the thickness of about 1 nm.
