Abstract
- A low-complexity detection scheme consisting of a sphere decoder and a parallel interference cancellation (PIC) equaliser is proposed for OFDM systems in doubly-selective fading channels. Theoretical analysis and simulation results show that this detection scheme substantially improves the symbol error rate performance of OFDM systems compared with the traditional PIC equaliser while requiring lower complexity at moderate and high signal-to-noise ratios.
