Thermal properties of thermosets

This chapter discusses the thermal properties of thermoset resins. Unlike thermoplastics, whose thermal properties depend only upon molecular weight, the thermal properties of a thermoset depend on various factors. The chapter covers the thermal conductivity, thermal expansion coefficient, thermal stability, heat distortion temperature, flammability, thermal cure characteristics and transition behavior (especially glass transition temperature) of thermoset resins.
