Abstract
- We present a case of congenital cystic adenomatoid malformation (CCAM) of the lung diagnosed at 17 weeks and 6 days of gestation, initially classified as a type II lesion and reclassified as a type I lesion at 19 weeks, which shows that the natural evolution of CCAM of the lung can include cyst enlargement leading to reclassification. At 22 weeks of gestation ascites developed. The second successful in-utero treatment of hydrops secondary to this condition hy serial simple aspiration is described.
