Abstract
- 1. The synthesis of methyltrichlorosilane by the reaction of silicon with methyl chloride proceeds through stable surface compounds-products of the partial chlorination of silicon (SiCln). 2. Preliminary chlorination of silicon, which leads to the formation of surface compounds (SiCln) as active reaction centers, accelerates the reaction with methyl chloride with the formation of methyltrichlorosilane.
