Abstract
- This study aims to assess, the extent to which students at Northern Frontier University, accept learning by phone during quarantine, to reduce the spread of the Coronavirus. Results of unified theory of acceptance and use of technology model (UTAUT model), indicated that performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, perceived playfulness and self-management of learning, were all significant determinants of behavioural intention to use m-learning. Age differences did not moderate the effects of effort expectancy and social influence on m-learning use intention, nor gender differences moderated the effects of social influence and self-management of learning on m-learning use intention. The small screen size and difficulty of typing on a mobile keyboard are among the most important difficulties of m-learning. These findings revealed that decisionmakers, in the higher education sector, could use mobile learning to develop distance learning, especially in supplementary programs.
