Factors associated with professional identity of rehabilitation therapy students in China:A cross-sectional study

Abstract

Objective To investigate the current situation and factors influencing the professional identity of rehabilitation therapy students through questionnaires, and to provide reference for improving students' professional identity and proposing effective coping strategies. Methods A questionnaire survey was conducted on 189 rehabilitation students in a university in Gansu Province using general information questionnaire and professional identity scale; SPSS26.0 software was used to analyze the data statistically. ResultsThe total score of professional identity of rehabilitation therapy students was (84.76±12.30), and the scores of each dimension were from highest to lowest: affective>cognitive>behavioral>appropriateness. Conclusion The professional identity of rehabilitation therapy students is at a moderate to high level, and the influencing factors include students' education and the way they choose their profession.
