A novel tetrazole functionalized polymer-supported palladium nano-catalyst for the synthesis of various N-benzylated arylcyanamides

Abstract
- 4-(Benzyloxy)benzyl chloride polymer-bound (BBC-Polym) was functionalized with 1-phenyl-1H-tetrazole-5-thiol (PTT), and the corresponding novel nano-particle Pd catalyst prepared by the subsequent addition of PdCl2 (BBC-Polym@PTT@Pd). The Pd catalyst was characterized using powder XRD, SEM, EDX, ICP, TGA-DTA, and FT-IR spectroscopy. Then, the Pd catalyst was used as an efficient heterogeneous catalyst for the synthesis of various N-benzylated arylcyanamides at 60 °C in acetonitrile.
