Pituitary Neuroendocrine Neoplasms

Pituitary neuroendocrine tumors are a complex family of lesions that show a spectrum of differentiation based on their developmental regulatory transcription factors and hormone expression. They can cause a number of clinical syndromes such as acromegaly, Cushing disease, hyperprolactinemia, and hyperthyroidism or they may be clinically silent. Their morphology is variable and of clinical importance to predict therapy and prognosis.
