Abstract
- The influence of radio-frequency (RF) plasma treatment on the electrocatalytic properties of Fe-based catalysts with respect to oxygen and hydrogen peroxide reduction was investigated. The electrocatalytic activity was evaluated using cyclic voltammetry (CV) and rotating disk electrode (RDE) techniques. The chemical composition structure and surface morphology of the catalysts were characterized by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD) and attenuated total reflection Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (ATR-FTIR). A remarkable improvement in the electrocatalytic properties was achieved by N 2 -plasma treatment at 750 W.
