ETHNO-MENTALLY COLORED STABLE COMPARATIVE UNITS OF HUMAN PORTRAIT DESCRIPTION

This article is devoted to the semantic analysis of Russian and Kyrgyz set comparative units, focused on the description of a human’s appearance. The actuality of this research is the insufficient research of set comparative units for describing a human’s portrait in the context of the culture and traditions of the Russian and Kyrgyz mentality. The purpose of this paper is to find out the similarities and differences of typological features of set comparative units from the point of the modern linguistics taking into account the peculiarities of the linguistic picture of the world in the Russian and Kyrgyz languages. It was determined that in each compared languages the similarity of set comparative units is found in the greatest representation with the evaluative component of portrait description of a person’s appearance. The materials of this study can be used in working out lectures on linguoparemiology, linguoculturology and the theory of Russian and Kyrgyz idioms.
