Abstract

A new experimental method which allows very accurate and complete determination of phase diagram in pure components and mixtures is presented. It employs the technique of absorption spectroscopy by a polychromatic neutron beam from a pulsed source. This method is applied to the measurement of the coexistence curve in pure Xe and in a 3 Heî—¸Xe mixture near the gas-gas demixing point.
