Abstract
- A reconfigurable multiwavelength erbium-doped fiber laser, using two multimode fiber Bragg gratings (MFBGs), is presented. Two MFBGs in L-band are cascaded to form two overlapping resonant cavities. Various configurations of four-, three-, or two-wavelength lasing are demonstrated experimentally by appropriately controlling the two polarization controllers inside the cavities. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
