Abstract
- The effect of high-voltage electric fields on the degradation of penicillin G has been studied in the context of the electrostatically enhanced solvent extraction of penicillin from whole broths. Eight parameters (voltage, penicillin G concentration, pH, presence of whole broth material, electrical polarity, solvent exposure, joule heating and residence time) were studied.
