Emission Enhancement of Fluorescence Using Electron Beam Excited Localized Plasmons

Localized surface plasmon resonance is generally excited by light. However, more localized excitation is expected to be achieved by electron beam irradiation. In this study, we irradiated metal nanoparticles with an electron beam using a scanning electron microscope and measured their optical responses.
