Abstract
- IIR implementation of filters exhibiting critical monotonic amplitude characteristic (CMAC) in the pass-band is introduced for the first time. After short description of the CMAC filters in the s -domain and discussion of the choice between FIR and IIR filters, IIR filters will be adopted and the bilinear transform will be chosen for transformation of the analog into digital transfer functions. Parallel realization of the IIR filter will be enabled by proper preparation of the analog data. The influence of the truncated coefficients will be considered and its effects will be demonstrated by an example proving the robustness of the transformed function. A design procedure will be proposed for the CMAC filter functions with arbitrary maximum pass-band attenuation.
