Abstract

Ion storage rings offer several advantages for studies of recombination of molecular ions by electrons, a process which in general leads to dissociation. During the last year dissociative recombination of H+3, HD+, H+2, 3HeH+, 4HeH+, and 4HeD+ have been studied in storage rings in Stockholm, Heidelberg, Tokyo, and Aarhus. Only a fraction of the results obtained at these places have been processed to the point where they have been published in the literature. Hence, the discussion of some of the results in this article must be regarded as tentative.
