Abstract

The composition of ethanol extract of wheat straw obtained under subcritical and supercritical conditions has been studied. It was found out that treatment with increased temperature, pressure and prolonged time of extraction leads to increased yield of ethanol soluble products, because of destruction of pentosan, lignin and, partially, cellulose. Delignification and hydrolysis product condensation processes prevailed under treatment with temperatures higher than 200°C.
