A C2-quintic spline interpolation scheme on triangulation

Wang, T., A C 2 -quintic spline interpolation scheme on triangulation, Computer Aided Geometric Design 9 (1992) 379-386. A C 2 piecewise quintic interpolating scheme is described for values of position, gradient and Hessian at scattered points in two variables on the triangulation with minimal split. The domain is assumed to have been triangulated. The interpolant has local support and explicit representation. Thus an open problem is solved.
