Abstract

As Environment-friendly refrigerants HFCs utilized, nano-materials give the opportunity to optimize the performance of refrigeration systems by their special properties. A prerequisite for applying nanoparticles to refrigerating system is dispersing and making them stabilized in refrigeration lubricant. In this paper, the dispersion stability of fullerene C60 in different mineral based refrigeration oils (KT56 LUNARIA, 3GS SUNISO, 4GS SUNISO) were investigated by sedimentation observation method and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectra method. The results indicate: C60 are successfully modiļ¬ed by tween60 and span40; the dispersity in KT56 and 4GS lubricants is better than 3GS; the best stability appears in KT56 lubricant. Comprehensive considering of the dispersion stability, fullerene C60 modified with tween60 and span40 are optimum in KT56 refrigeration oil.
