Abstract
- A new fast neutron spectrometer has been developed. The spectrometer is consisted of a thin recoil proton radiator in close contact to a single wafer dE-E Si detector, in which an epitaxial dE counter of less than 0.01 mm and a thick E counter are incorporated. Proton recoil angle and the energy can be computed from the dE and E counter outputs in each recoil event, thus an unfolded neutron spectrum can be attained. The basic characteristics, computer simulation work and experimental results for monochromatic neutrons are described.
