Abstract
- The accurate measurement of temperature is vital across a broad spectrum of human activities. Temperature can be measured using temperature sensor. The temperature sensor and real-time clock are interfaced with microcontroller. Both the time and the temperature are displayed on LCD. The I2C protocol is used because of its numerous advantages such as low pin count, adaptability to the need of slave devices, and incorporation of ACK/NACK functionality to improve error handling. A simulation circuit is designed to read the values of temperature from −55 to 155 °C. The developed simplified economic hardware system measures the meteorological temperature with a reasonably good accuracy of ±1 °C. The temperature measurement with time is used in a wide range of applications such as industry, health care, science, and technology.
