Abstract

We present direct measurements of the nonlinearly induced phase-shift and spectral shift via beam-deflection technique and cross-phase modulation measurements. The optical nonlinearities are enhanced due to the highly dispersive nature of epsilon-near-zero materials, which allows obtaining reduced group velocity and enhanced phase velocity.
