Preparation of hydrophilic nano-carbon particles and their applications (II)

Hydrophilic nano-carbon particle solution has been prepared up to 1.2 wt%-C by anodic electro-oxidation of graphite in water. It is composed of mellitic acid and graphite. A new application to metal ion trapping has been tested using a mineral water. Ca ions have been well trapped by nano-carbon particles, however, Mg ions did not been so well.
