Abstract
- In power transformers in which is dominated the oil-paper insulation system, it is the effort to use innovative insulating materials to achieve greater quality, reliability and longer service life of the transformer. In this paper, we present the results of research into the insulating properties of an oil-paper insulation system in a DC and AC electric field. In the experiments MOL TO 40A transformer oil and two types of paper used in transformers, KREMPEL DPP and insulating paper used in BEZ transformers, were used. The results from the experiments show that KREMPEL insulating paper has a higher electrical strength and the electrical strength of both oil-impregnated insulating papers is greater when applying DC voltage.
