Abstract

Condylar fractures result from jammed fingers and may involve one or both condyles of the distal portion of either the proximal or middle phalanx. The patient may often have very little loss of motion, and a high Degree of suspicion is necessary to make the diagnosis (Figs. 27-1 A, B). Oblique roentgenographs of the finger must be obtained to properly demonstrate the fracture and its Degree of displacement (Fig. 27-1 C).
