Abstract

Geospatial information is increasingly needed for the development of Indonesia’s Special Economic Zones (SEZ) concept. Pangandaran Raya is one of the areas that have been proposed as one of the SEZ locations, having nature and coastal tourism as its primary economic activities, and certainly in need of geospatial information for its land, coastal, and marine areas. However, land, coastal, and marine geospatial information in Pangandaran have been collected and processed separately by different institutions and have caused an absence in data continuity in terms of resolution, reference, and data format. This paper aims to integrate the topographic and bathymetric data of Pangandaran to generate seamless digital elevation model of Pangandaran coastal area. Verification was done by calculating the RMSE of the difference between elevation produced by the seamless digital elevation model and elevation that had been observed with RTK in the field. The results show that the RMSE of the seamless digital elevation model was 27 cm and there were 6 factors that had controlled the quality of seamless digital elevation model. The main factor that had controlled the quality of seamless digital elevation model was topographic data quality.
